National Poetry Month at South Boston Public Library

April is National Poetry Month, and for that reason, South Boston Arts Association members Dorothy Morris and Susan Mahan have organized a Poetry Reading at the South Boston Public Library.  The Poetry Reading’s special guest speaker will be Dave Connolly, poet and editor of the South Boston Literary Gazette.

Event:                           April’s Poetry Reading

Date:                           Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

Time:                           1:30 PM until 3:30 PM

The event is open to high schoolers and adults.  Read your own poetry (or

prose) or a favorite poem with 5 minutes per presenter.

Refreshments will be provided.  All are welcome.

Dave Connolly is a knock-out poet, so go check him out. In addition, the library will have poems on display throughout the month, and they have included two of mine- so stop by and take a look.
