Great review of the Abstract Expressionist show at MOMA in this week’s New Yorker. How about this line: "clenched in Mark Rothko’s fogs of excruciating color."
Will someone please notify the magazine and let them know I aspire to be Schjeldahl’s understudy and replacement once he calls it quits? Truly amazing.
Then again,how can you go wrong with a Frank O’Hara reference in line one (not to mention Larry Rivers).
