I was watching some Art21 tonight and came across the work of Yinka Shonibare, MBE, who I am embarrassed to say I had never heard of. Felt pretty interesting to realize that the work I have been doing with text and cutouts, airplanes and flowers seem strangely like I am stealing from him! But, the work is phenomenal.
